译者坑定不懂工程，很多语句逻辑不清很难懂，不过书的内容还是极好的。原作者一定是很想将本书的阅读门槛降低，尽量用浅显易懂的语言，可惜翻译又将这门槛抬高了。中国青年出版社出版了好多设计类书籍，这是很难得的，但是翻译请的着实不好。要是这本书能重新翻译出版就好了。

本书的精髓就是介绍给还没开始真正设计的学生和刚开始工作的设计师真正的设计是如何产生的，设计不仅仅岑花一现的创意，其背后支撑的是工程，科学，艺术等综合学科知识的叠加。一件椅子的设计中要考虑为什么场合设计，为谁设计，用什么样的材料，人机工程参数的加入等等...
