写的不错。讲计算机的算法在各行各业的应用。一半的篇幅跟华尔街有关。 第一章的故事：彼得非在上世纪80-90年代股票人肉交易的时期，率先破解电话线中的交易信号，采用机器和算法来交易股票，领先华尔街股市十多年，有点像穿越的故事； 第三章，有人用电脑来预测新歌的流行程...

一般，覆盖面远没有想象中的那么广阔，此书最初写的时候只是针对自动化股票交易的，后来虽然改了，但局限性还是很大的。

开头讲盈透老板的发家史的还挺吸引人，越往下看越浅而啰嗦，在金融外的应用没几个让人印象深刻的论述，事实列举难成体系，说是讲故事吧，好些精彩的梗在quant,flash boy中都出现过了。终章拔高的又略显突兀。总体还算可以吧
