曼哈顿的巷子里到底藏着多少隐士神魔？虽然主角们都不是常人，整个故事还是主要在描述100年前美国新移民的生活状态。其实美国的全部活力都来自于新移民，反移民就是美国开始朽烂衰退的开始。

很喜欢作者娓娓道来的细腻手法，人物描写的功力相当深厚，以1899年的纽约为背景，讲述了Golem & Jinni这两种超自然生物的喜怒哀乐，和无奈于融入人类世界的经历。之所以给了四颗星，是因为对于我来说，故事发展较为缓慢，有时候给人boring的感觉。 Beautiful and charming fairytale about two unique creatures who struggled but still wish for and fought for happy life. People with different destiny affected each other then jointed the pieces together.

Beautifully written, exotic, moving and attractive I wonder if the Golem and Jinni are still hidden somewhere in the depth of the city, counting their everlasting time and watching their loved ones come and go yet return in the next life.
