Artist and illustrator Tasha Tudor has written, illustrated, or been the subject of more that 87 books. Her edition of the children's classic "The Secret Garden" has sold over two million copies worldwide, making it one of the best selling children's book of all time. This retrospective look at Tasha Tudor's work is the culmination of Harry Davis' work of ten years, recording the observations and compiling the art of the author and illustrator. The book combines well-known images with lesser-known illustrations. Included are Tasha's fashion designs for Pierre Deux, portraits of animals and of family, and greetings cards, including those for Christmas and Valentine's Day, and samples from her personal sketch books. Drawing from over 10,000 pieces that Tudor has produced over her long career, Davis has chosen the best examples, which he illuminates through his accompanying text.
