从历史、剧本、导演到表演各个方面的比较性论文集，对于从戏剧研究进入电影研究的人是不可多得的入门survey，但对于直接进入电影的帮助不大。其中个人最喜欢历史部分，尤其以Gunning的早期研究和Keiko的早期日本电影研究为最爱。另外再一次证明搞创作的还是少来写学术论文，一般都不咋的（Eisenstein和Brecht除外）
