相比於KFA裏不太成功的試圖勾連整個觀念論體係的嘗試，這本局限於第一批判的重構就顯得漂亮很多，也更見老爺子的功力所在。老爺子以Ideality為核心的對一批的重構方案可以說是相當驚世駭俗的，盡管老爺子自己不願意承認，但是基於謬誤推理部分的重構在基本思路上與1981年以後的Henrich重構方案如齣一轍，都可以被視為是在第一批判中挽救自我意識理論的最後嘗試。就這一點來說，老爺子是真正地讀懂瞭第一批判的。
