女主角並不把自己寫得可愛值得同情，故事一點不雞湯勵誌，不錯

感恩audio book的2倍速強行加快我的眼動速度，得以第一次一天刷完瞭一本書...很美很subjective，隻是告訴你“我”在每個人生階段是怎麼想的，是雞湯還是毒雞湯，留給讀者自己去熬。她的很多想法counter-intuitive但是在細緻的reasoning下變得無比閤理，一方麵讓我理解瞭很多people with facial disfigurement的感覺，另一方麵竟通過她的講解理解瞭一部分自卑的自己。但最終該作者還是死於drug overdose。確實，不是每一次自我救贖都會成功，不是每一個人都活到瞭完全自洽，不是每一份感情都能真正感同身受——也許是悲，又值得慶幸？after all, it is uniqueness that proves our worth...？

我很喜歡作者用這種平實但是又完全自私的筆調來描寫自己承受的苦難。雞湯本來就是一個笑話，並不是所有的自我救贖都會成功，即便很多看起來如此。有時候甚至覺得，在苦難麵前失敗纔是終點，所謂的成功自我救贖無非就是墜落得更優雅一些罷瞭。
