For 40 years, the Swiss writer, Friedrich DA1/4rrenmatt, committed his works to paper from his home which overlooked the beautiful lake NeuchA[tel in Switzerland. After DA1/4rrenmatt's death in 1991, Mario Botta began designing a museum which would be a monument to the writer, housing his drawings, paintings and literary artefacts. Skillfully built onto DA1/4rrenmatt's house, the Centre DA1/4rrenmatt is nearing completion and will be opened in autumn 2000.
