Yet, sad to say, I am always too late. The fishes expire. And because it is evil to waste anything, I take those dead fishes to market and I sell them for a good price. With the money I receive, I buy more nets so I can save more fishes."

之前關於譚恩美的錶揚太多，以至於對本小說期望被吊得如此之高。 好久沒有看小說瞭，閱讀小說的感覺有點模糊瞭。 小說沒有吸引我最大的興緻，斷斷續續地讀瞭些天纔讀完，幾甚放棄。 因為是譯寫本，實在是想象不齣作者原著的風采瞭。 或者原著也如此的平淡；或者被譯寫得亂七八...
評分不知道為什麼那麼多對這本書的貶低之詞。難道我的欣賞水平有問題？或許吧。不過我是很喜歡這本書。無論是封麵。還是內容。在大學圖書館讀過一遍。又自己買書來重新讀。很少喜歡看這種類似遊記的書。但它的確吸引瞭我。不同的風俗。不同的文化。這或許就是旅行的意義。還有旅途...
