作者简介

约翰·肯尼迪·图尔（John Kennedy Toole）美国著名作家。1937年生于新奥尔良。哥伦比亚大学毕业后，曾执教于西南路易斯安那亨特学院和新奥尔良多米尼加学院。十几岁时，图尔就开始长篇小说《笨蛋联盟》的创作。1980年，在母亲的努力下，《笨蛋联盟》得以出版，很快引起读者的轰动，并于次年斩获美国文学界最权威的奖项——普利策小说奖。
