The work of the main architects of the movement such as, Frank Lloyd Wright, Adolf Loos, Le Corbusier, and Mies van der Rohe is re-examined shedding new light on their roles as acknowledged masters. 两年多前带来的书终于在找工作的间歇期读完了。呼

线索清晰明了，非常适合初学者如我……不过其浅显易懂的用词并不妨碍对于具体人与建筑的深入洞见的表达

柯洪在晚年终于从评论家转为史学家了，于是本书的史论部分尽带其早年的评论格调。他能在新艺术运动里看得到法国与英国国家层面对工艺的支持态度不同，到了德国又换个语境；论柯布，看到反装饰背后其实通过objet-type构建起新生活。。我欣赏柯洪的文字整合力，不过依旧还是钟情班纳姆的文风。
