Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA (born 8 January 1942) is a British theoretical physicist. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (but intends to retire from this post in 2009), a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and the distinguished research chair at Waterloo's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He is known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes.

因對黑洞感興趣而看的一本書。

讀完瞭，可以繼續另一本科普讀物瞭。Orz...很好的一本書。雖然是科普書可是很多地方還是沒有看懂。所有涉及Macro的概念還是比較容易理解的，比如黑洞蟲洞宇宙擴張等等，涉及到micro部分的粒子們就開始頭疼，粒子與反粒子，誇剋質子光子等等。不知道再看一遍會有更深的理解還是讀一些更深層次的書會更有幫助。不過，時間簡史確實揭開瞭自己對宇宙，物理，微觀的初步瞭解的大門，人類一直在努力的尋找著自己，從哪裏來，到哪裏去，雖然所有東西都還沒有答案，在尋找的路上我們卻也不斷擴充和增強著自己。P.S. 為什麼英文版比中文版評分差這麼多。。
