“血气方刚”老船长最终得以平静于海，柔弱书生摇身一变如逝去船长，少了船长的邪气，愈加颇进完美，书生最终抱得美人归也是两全其美。老船长自学成才男儿当自强的个性让人敬佩敬畏之余，不免还有点让人畏惧，太过残暴不仁，凶狠毒辣。最终瘫痪在地也博不得多少同情，出来混，总是要还的，代价莫过于以命偿。所以说，为人勿作恶，即便不为人，也是为己好。
