V.S.奈保尔（1932—2018 ）

英国著名作家。1932年生于特立尼达岛上一个印度移民家庭，1950年进入牛津大学攻读英国文学，毕业后迁居伦敦。

50年代开始写作，著有《米格尔街》、《斯通先生与骑士伙伴》、《自由国度》、《大河湾》、“印度三部曲”、《非洲的假面剧》等。20 01年荣获诺贝尔文学奖。

嗯，生活本无意义，生来即为变老。 跟安·兰德的励志哲学、保罗·柯艾略的心灵哲学比起来，这句话简直是误导年轻人的歪理邪说。这不是对人生黄金期的宏大事业、美好爱情、温馨亲情、义气友情，通通视而不见了吗？ 嗯，我们的确会对生活感到无力，的确会对虚度光阴淡然不自知...  

还是在大三时读的，并不觉得像多少人所说的那样精彩，全篇有很浓郁的无奈感，不过那种沉重远没有当时自己所处的心态沉重。 文中描写的大量氛围其实在新开发的地方都能感受的到，不过可能是写非洲才让人觉得有吸引力吧。旧势力的衰落新力量的崛起是历史的必然，至于想借助外来文...
