Jack London was an American novelist, journalist, social-activist and short-story writer whose works deal romantically with elemental struggles for survival. At his peak, he was the highest paid and the most popular of all living writers. Because of early financial difficulties, he was largely self educated past grammar school.

London drew heavily on his life experiences in his writing. He spent time in the Klondike during the Gold Rush and at various times was an oyster pirate, a seaman, a sealer, and a hobo. His first work was published in 1898. From there he went on to write such American classics as Call of the Wild, Sea Wolf, and White Fang

读后感

到底是写一个新的狼种的发现，还是写一直狗狗被逼成了狼呢。Buck不是说自己的爸爸妈妈都是狗狗吗？一个是。。。。一个是sheperd。。。。那怎么会是狼呢。。。不理解。如果是狗狗被逼成了狼，那也太恐怖了吧。。。。

小时候就着昏黄的灯光，如饥似渴地读完。不过是0.3元薄薄的小书，承载着我对于少年时代无限的追忆和留恋。荒野的呼唤，是the call of the wild的最好翻译  

非常喜欢杰克*伦敦的作品，最初是从《热爱生命》开始的，这本《野性的呼唤》同样地有着旺盛的生命力的张力。 这本小说以一条狗的智商来叙述故事，很特别，也很动感。石雅芳的译本字句很美，推荐给小学高年级的孩子们读，从小懂得品味经典的力量。

Bark Bark 从此我养的所有狗子都叫做Bark 除了呼呼 emmmm可呼呼的宜家金毛狗宝宝也叫Bark 所以就勉强算了吧 荒野的呼唤是我最先读的小说之一 算是启蒙 看了这个再看马丁依登 然后毒日头 一块牛排 那时我一个小学生 感觉比现在的文学修养好多了啊 真他妈的 噫吁嚱
