作为经济学家，能够身体力行地为社会直接作出贡献非常之少见。萨克斯值得尊重与敬仰。 这本书涉及到多个国家的经济改革，也有助于了解世界最新的发展。书中对中国经济的改革评价也很到位。

看完的感触就是这是一个靠谱的有良心的说真话的经济学家，没有说教，只有忧心忡忡的陈述，而且那么真诚，就好像一个普通的美国中产阶级在担心他家花园的游泳池里腐烂的叶子已经快要堵塞出口一般可信，对于其他国家的评语因为没有调查没有发言权，但是对于中国的诊断，起码比...

经济学者好钻营但姿势最丑的，除了曼昆就是他了。

读了chapter1,2,13总体非常反感，可能部分因为讨厌Modernization Theory
