Primo Michele Levi (July 31, 1919 – April 11, 1987) was a Jewish Italian chemist, Holocaust survivor and author of memoirs, short stories, poems, and novels.

He is best known for his work on the Holocaust, and in particular his account of the year he spent as a prisoner in Auschwitz, the infamous death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland. If This Is a Man (published in the United States as Survival in Auschwitz) has been described as one of the most important works of the twentieth century.

《元素周期表》（The Periodic Table）被大英皇家研究所评选为有史以来的science book第一名，其实这是一本以元素周期表命名的短篇小说集子。集中小说都是Levi在纳粹时期作为一个犹太裔意大利化学家自传性质的。集中的主题以时间为序，写了他的祖先，他在战时意大利学习以及研究化学的经历，两篇虚拟作品，以及他后来作为反战分子被捕、入狱、受拷问和在奥斯维辛的经历。全集21篇小说，都以某种元素命名，而且这种元素与文章存在某种关联。
