有点啰嗦但主要观点和论点还是不错的

I mean, really?“人的身份不是一元的，族群、宗教信仰等因素并不能完全涵盖人的多种身份认同”本身是个极其正确的论点，但在这本书的论证中其实出现了好几个跳跃：因为每个个体身份认同多元，而且选择在认同中占有很大比重，所以1.我们事实上都可以（非常自由地）选择自己的身份，并且完全具有能力在不同的情境下选择不同的身份；2.任何试图用身份群体做文章的做法都必然会忽视身份群体内部的多元性，因而无效；3.应对身份冲突最重要的手段是试图在人共有的身份多元性上下功夫。这样的结论，让我想起来阿伦特面对反犹主义的时候的回应：既然我因为我的“犹太性”而受歧视，我就必须作为犹太人而不仅仅是作为一个人来反击。森的策略事实上取消了问题，他对身份的扁平化和流动化理解无法解释“归属”，也忽略了内部突破的可能。

基本论点无懈可击：人有多重身份，在理想条件下每个人都有理性选择身份的权利。问题是在某种特定环境中人们会如何选择自己的身份？整本书感觉只是另外一部野心极大的书的绪论。multiculturalism和cultural liberty那部分最有趣。
