吉米·哈利 James Herriot（1916—1995），原名James Alfred Wight，蘇格蘭人。一個多纔多藝的獸醫，也是個善於說故事的高手，被英國媒體譽為“其寫作天賦足以讓很多職業作傢羞愧”。

我最喜歡去的書店，是傢鄉一個大型商城內，新華書店旗下的一個分店。商城的布置和商品都略顯舊，比不上身邊那珠光寶氣的金鷹，但是底層的傢樂福和三樓的博庫書城卻極有麵子。這個書城雖是新華的分店，但是選書卻精心；旁邊好幾層氣勢磅礴的鳳凰書城，內部書籍排設卻如舊年的...

請原諒本人閱讀麵窄，09年裏，類似的慵懶小說隻是看瞭《普羅旺斯的一年》和這本《萬物有靈且美》（囧，其他都是理論性的書，俺是理性主義者）。於是腦海裏麵不自然的總有點比較。雖然知道這樣的比較是無謂的，但也是說說自己的看法吧。純個人意見。 年頭看的《普...

雖然整套係列我纔閱讀瞭僅此一本，卻情不自禁地愛上瞭這位淳樸可愛的鄉間獸醫！他充滿靈性與溫情的文字，讓我這個對小動物們有些天生畏懼的人，也開始留意平日偶然遇見的小動物們：街邊的流浪狗狗，廣場上的小麻雀，牆頭的小野貓！我不再像以前對他們冷漠疏離，不聞不問，匆匆...
