美國人真的是閑得慌纔到處管事的

情節性和可讀性強。Delillo的文字本身就給人一種過於現代的不安感，有時夾雜著一種pretentious（人與人之間的以及人與環境之間的；他有意識並加以嘲諷的）的燥熱。隻有Wilder的存在讓人感覺真實而豐滿，盡管相對著筆不多。很多談話並不新穎或是深入。關於killer和dier還有nature的討論也許是最喜歡的地方，為後麵略荒誕的情節很好地鋪墊。中後部有一種強烈的theorize的傾嚮，反倒generalize瞭另一些現象，不敢苟同，減弱瞭之前營造的虛無感。對於the airborne toxic event和後來檢測較為不瞭瞭之的態度是一種不錯的處理。
