Osman's Dream

Caroline Finkel grew up in the west of Scotland, first went to Turkey when she was eighteen, and has lived in Istanbul for many years. She has a Ph.D. in Ottoman history from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, has researched extensively in Ottoman archives and libraries. Osman’s Dream is Caroline’s third book, and is the culmination of a long-felt commitment to explore the themes of Ottoman history for a wider audience. As well as UK-Commonwealth and US editions, Osman’s Dream will appear in Greek, Russian and Turkish in 2006.
