關於紅船劫匪以及被冶煉的人的綫索在這一本裏完全成瞭可有可無的暗綫，到瞭結尾幾頁時匆匆帶過交代瞭謎底，可惜瞭在前兩部裏麵花費大量筆墨營造的恐怖懸疑氣氛。之前一直以為是主綫之一的紅船劫匪這條綫索原來隻是瞻遠傢族大內鬥的背景而已（結尾則充分說明瞭攘外必先安內的道...
