断断续续看了4周才看完，乡村病毒不仅存在于美国小镇生活中，它也存在在我的生活中。重复又重复的生活也快变成一种病毒侵蚀我的理想我的生活我对外界的好奇心……

细腻的心理和情感描写不亚于The Age of Innocence，但稍显过火。话说这两本书还曾有过这样的交集：Main Street was initially awarded the 1921 Pulitzer Prize for literature, but was rejected by the Board of Trustees, who overturned the jury's decision. The prize went, instead, to Edith Wharton for The Age of Innocence. In 1926 Lewis refused the Pulitzer when he was awarded it for Arrowsmith.
