3.5 虽然叙述角度是儿童但是这么黑的细节你确定这个是给孩子看的吗？笔下世界依旧精彩不过因为设定所限所有格局小了很多。三代Hempstock三位一体，祖母，母亲，女儿；过去，现在，未来。生于这个世界，我们只是过客。就像童年那朦胧宏大的冒险，在开出drive way之后，变得再次无法触及。Lattie回归了ocean，而我们，不管怎么尝试，只会记得她去了澳洲。就如同耳朵一边是白色的小黑猫一样，她们是永存的，出现又离开的是我们。

读的时候不停怀疑“他是不是发挥失常了”“这次写得太平常了”；可当我读完整本合上书那之后的整整一天，都还沉浸在故事的气氛和情绪里无法自拔。不得不说这次的老梗用得非常常规流式化，但是盖曼的本事就是这样的：在最通俗最常见的桥段里细细浸满了悲伤、哀恸、希望、绝望，以及细微的快乐和坚定，而这一切又都被无法言明的温柔包裹在其中。他的故事本身就是海洋。Thank God we have Neil Gaiman, his soft soft heart and grief feelings.

尼尔·盖曼真喜欢写这种毫·无·背·景·可·言的小说啊，读者不是想在神话、历史或者其他作品中找reference吗？“诶嘿嘿我就是不让你们找得到~~~” ……= =。不过这本里对男孩子恐惧心理的描写真不错，能让人有切肤之感。
