13条美德看起来简单，要践行一生绝非易事。自传写得也符合Benjamin的特点，精简不浮夸，不像现在垃圾商业书，其实精华不超过10页但硬生生写个200页。

第一次读时只觉惊为天人，发愿今后写自传时要以此为标准。后来渐渐意识到，自传是专门写给他叛逆的儿子看的，因此呈现的形象过于完美且单一。

我讨厌US HISTORY课本身还有一个原因，由于是本国的历史，所以课程有很强的倾向。比如要求读的书籍，对于我这种认真读一本书会受其很大影响的人，读完这本书几乎都他妈的要成为半个基督徒了呵呵后！不过反思起来大概是英文书的阅读速度比起中文的要慢，所以每次读完一本书穿过了一个世界的感觉更明显一些，Brideshead revisited感觉更明显一些。
