The book therefore should appeal to readers who want to find out more about a China that is beyond political rhetoric, where ordinary human feelings take precedence over concerns about the 'rise of China' and its place in the global village.

閱讀前言部分與Chapter 1. 4. 5. 7. 8. 因為是一篇篇論文堆起來的所以看久瞭會覺得很吃力，也略過瞭很多部分，但是真的覺得大部分分析的切入點都很新穎，解析得也很透徹。等我再多看一些張愛玲的書再迴來慢慢啃。
