《全國人民代錶大會常務委員會關於修改〈中華人民共和國票據法〉的決定》已由中華人民共和國第十屆全國人民代錶大會常務委員會第十一次會議於2004年8月28日通過，現予公布，自公布之日起施行。

This law is enacted to regulated acts involving negotiable instruments, protect the lawful rights and interests of parties engaged in activities in volving negotiable instruments, maintain public and economic order and promote the development of the socialist market economy.
為瞭規範票據行為，保障票據活動中當事人的閤法權益維護社會經濟秩序，促進社會主義市場經濟的發展，製定本法。
