很好的入门书。有大量的例子和有趣的习题，虽然写法有些繁琐，但仍然是本好书。

虽然不够精简，但是绝对适合自学。讲的慢的学校够将一年半了。

本书的例子相当多, 对读者非常友好. 此外本书在应用Sylow定理处理有限非单群上有独到之处(6.2节), 作者总结了相当多种这方面的证明技巧.

大部头儿啊

对于非数学系出生，但在研究中需要用到代数（或者被逼着一定要学研究生代数）的人来说，这是一本很不错的书。内容详细，基本涵盖了美国数学系研究生考qualify所需要的知识点。虽然作者过于罗嗦，但好在例子够多。这对于不习惯“定义定理证明“模式的我来说，实在是个福音。
