The chapters provide an exposition of the current status of the field, reviewing such key issues as: the latest advancements in instrumentation; the use of AU to obtain comprehensive quantitative descriptions of molecular interactions in solution; experimental and theoretical aspects of methodology; novel approaches to data reduction, analysis, and interpretation made possible by high speed desktop computers; and future uses of AU in biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories.
