Charles John Huffam Dickens (7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870)was the foremost English novelist of the Victorian era, as well as a vigorous social campaigner. A Christmas Carol is a Victorian morality tale of an old and bitter miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of one night. Mr. Scrooge is a financier/money-changer who has devoted his life to the accumulation of wealth. He holds anything other than money in contempt, including friendship, love and the Christmas season.
The book felt a little more realistic to the film adaptations, yet managed to keep a real sense of magic, and therefore I do feel that this was more effective and a little more special. in a word, there's no excuse not to pick up this heartwarming Christm...

狄更斯被誉为“发明了圣诞节的人”。这本书不仅仅用丰富的语言和情感描绘了圣诞节的形式,而且指明了这个节日的内在:这是一年中给予、奉献以及和身边的人共享欢乐的时节。
