之前就有些奇怪，吳謝費的譯本厚達943頁，而二蔡的這個譯本隻有290頁，目錄也完全不同。書到手後纔發現二蔡譯本不是我想看的那本 The Outline of History（《世界史綱》），而是作者韋爾斯的另一本書 A Short History of the World（譯作《世界簡史》更閤適？）。本書內容相...

某天去機場接機的時候，在等待的空隙偶然看到這本書，當時翻看瞭一下就毫不猶豫的買下來。看齣版日期很新，可在購書網站並搜不到它，迴來仔細研究纔發現，這竟然是1923年就齣版瞭的，作者1946年就去世瞭，一般書名會翻譯成《威爾斯世界簡史》，而我買的書名是《世界五韆年》。...
