RICHARD REEVES is a syndicated columnist, political reporter, and author of President Kennedy: Profile of Power, which Time called the best non-fiction book of 1993.

MARK SHAW, a fashion, editorial, and commercial photographer during the 1950's and '60's, worked for Harper's Bazaar and Mademoiselle. Shaw also shot 27 covers and over 100 sotried for Life Magazine.
