I am reading it. Two protagonists have not even fallen into love with each other yet. But generally, I don't think it is a novel that requires much thinking and analysis from the reader. The narrator is very reliable. He has arranged everything on his ow...  

这本书其实是经营妇女消费品从简单实用到豪华糜菲发展的一个缩影，从小店面普通商人的生活一直描写到大百货公司老板的发家史。客观上真实描写了人类爱、恨、贪婪的欲望。窃以为BOSS每天关门结业时在办公室里数钱的形象最为活生生。  

It is not a book that shocks me to the heart, but definitely a book which paints a impressionism with words. It is the first book that I have ever read by Zola. Rather than describing my feelings using the ideological words, such as capitalism or industria...
