我看過英文原版,可以說,這是外國技術經典書籍翻譯最差的一部,難怪上市這麼低調.首先是技術落後,說的還是Rails3.0,人傢的原書第四版已經更新到3.2瞭,其次許多地方錯漏,術語翻譯前後不統一(多譯者的問題),感到一點也不用心,model裏麵比較重要的validate技術也沒有提到(原書有),感...

作者試圖在一本書裏把rails講清楚，雖然是大部頭的書，但基本沒有一點兒廢話，適閤仔細翻看。一個問題是書中代碼比較老，建議結閤官方rails手冊看，一些代碼已經有瞭更好的實現方式。

學習一樣技術，一般來說有兩種途徑，一是從項目齣發，需要用到什麼學什麼；一種是從技術本身齣發，先掌握體係，瞭解大概，在項目中完善細節。前者實用，但是過程是比較痛苦的，對於像Rails這種處處充滿magic的框架來說尤其如此。所以，瞭解整個框架的體係還是比較重要的。在這方麵，看一本由Rails創始人寫的書估計是最好的方式瞭。可是。。。整本書開下來，為什麼感覺也就“還行”呢？這次看的是原版，不能怪翻譯瞭。好吧，那就是我英文水平有限！
