it's a very intense read- i normally would finish a book at this length in 10-15 days of continuous reading, but with this book I found myself reading 50% in two days already, then finished on the third day. The chapters were well organized in a way that tells two story lines and went back and forth without causing confusion.

非常精彩！文字就是比影像更有感染力。Tom和Jules第一次出去找补给的那一段吓得我一晚上没敢睡，用触觉去写遭遇到的人和事，来得比视觉震撼得多。群鸟落下、雷雨交加的夜晚这两处全书的高潮部分处理得也很棒。Malorie和Tom的感情也很动人，尽管他们之间可能还未到爱情，但他们的互动我真的是太爱了！而电影就总是喜欢把这种含蓄真挚的感情肉欲化！太煞风景了！太没情调了！
