Wayne Robins is a longtime journalist and pop critic. He is the author of two other books, VH-1's Behind the Music: 1968 and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Boy George and Culture Club. Currently an editor at Billboard Magazine, he was well-known as the pop music critic for Newsday for nearly twenty years. He was the editor of Creem magazine and was a regular contrbutor to Rolling Stone. Robins has also taught critical writing in the journalism department of New York University, where he earned an M.A. with a concentration in Cultural Reporting and Criticism.
