从这一本开始，故事的步伐不再轻松愉快，而是逐渐紧张激烈，特别是最后两章，可以预见第六本有多么fast-paced, savage, blood-soaked了。本书里人物之间的关系和情感让人十分喜爱，Darren, Mr. Crepsley, Harkat, Gavner, Kurda之间的情谊非常动人。Crepsley表面严肃冷淡，但心里非常喜爱Darren，那句“he's trying hard for you”太美了。Gavner最后一句话还在给Crepsley道歉，我哭的很大声。第六本要圣战了吧，期待。
