这个设定还是对故事有些点睛作用不然就只是又一个那个年代的混乱私生活小故事

作者是编故事的高手。在开头用miniaturist设置了很吊人胃口的悬念，但随着故事发展似乎变成了冗余。故事中关于女权，人性自由，LGBT都和现实生活相呼应，也难怪本书好评如潮。这本书真正吸引我的是作者的描写功力和文学素养，虽有时略显刻意，但整体看来，非常细腻入微，用词讲究，有女性作家特有的敏感气质。

四分給題材和背景。我本來以為這是懸疑故事，看了內容才發現原來是在描繪當時中產女性的生活。這女主一進門這家人就經歷種種厄運也是悲哀。看了一半后我又以為女主會在cabinet裡面發現各種機關揭秘，然後開掛拯救世界的，但誰知道最後本來的主人都死了留下女主和女僕……我真的很好奇女主接下來的生活會是怎樣……前面和中間都是非常吸引人的（畢竟我喜歡這題材），不過後面就有點悶了，而且說真的我也不是很懂miniaturist這個人的形象……P.S.我也好想要個這樣的cabinet！尼德蘭的藝術品真的很讚！！

作者是个会讲故事且会制造紧张、悬疑气氛的女人。曾经在我最喜欢的牛津大学读书。给很多杂志写过文章，比如说：Vogue、华尔街日报等等。这个故事是把秘密一个一个地揭露出来的。最后的那个秘密没有揭露之前我实际上已经猜出来了。所以最后并没有给我任何惊喜。不过还是很好看。很精彩。我对这本书的感觉是：精巧、时尚、高贵、华丽。 BBC最近才宣布要把这本书拍摄成3集的电视剧。其实算是上、中、下三部电影吧。特别期待。女主角选的和描述的一样。气质、神采和演员之前的背景都和Nella一样。期待中。

本来以为这个小房子可能是什么时间机器或者暗藏魔法，结果从开头看到结尾，似乎除了满满的怨念，深深的阴谋，虚伪的人性之外，没有什么超自然的力量存在。故事背景是17世纪的荷兰，好多陌生的词降低阅读速度，但是手不释卷。不得不赞这位女作家的写作功力。不过，把男人黑得也蛮彻底的了，这应该是女性的思维吧，如果是男作家写这本书，我相信应该会更刺激一点。刚在英国上市不久的畅销书，推荐。
