From Library Journal
Browsable as it is, this book breaks no new ground but instead reiterates the trend of finding contemporary interior uses for distinguished as well as ordinary older structures. Most of the photographs of these examples of re-architecture are black and white, disappointing in such a design collection. Of the more than 50 buildings shown, fewer than one quarter are located in the United States. There are certainly some good ideas here, but instead of making a significant pictorial or editorial contribution to this subject, the book simply becomes another treatment aimed at capturing the interest of architects, urban planners, developers, and lay people. Recommended only for large academic, museum, and public libraries.
