看到这句有很大的疑惑，我查字典，许多as 和 while 前面都不加逗号，就是括号里的意思：Two-part sentences of which the second member is introduced by as (in the sense of because), for, or, nor, and while (in the sense of and at the same time) likewise require a comma before the conjunction. 但依然是非常棒的书。

重读Elements of Style，发现自己已经开始犯不那么低级的错误了，算不算进步？这本书讲的是prose writing，跟技术文档的用语习惯差别还是蛮大的。比如作者对however用在句首深恶痛绝，说要么你换成nevertheless，要么你把它移到中间去。我觉得这个提法在prose里确实有道理，转折不会那么生硬，而且however作为多义词，在句首容易误导读者导致理解不顺。但是技术文档转折生硬一点可能不那么要紧，反而能强调后面的内容？反正我看到用however在句首的例子远远多于nevertheless。
