The 22 punch needle motifs presented in the book are first worked as 5-inch blocks and then pieced together and quilted to create a one-of-kind miniature punch needle quilt inspired by an impressive circa 1840 Maryland Album Applique quilt from the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont.
