厄斯金·柴德斯（Erskine Childers，1870-1922），出生于英国伦敦，16岁的时候就进入英国众议院工作，23岁时以优异成绩从剑桥大学法学院毕业。一战中，因本书被丘吉尔聘为对德作战的重要参谋。他把自己的一生都奉献给了爱尔兰独立运动，52岁时被英国政府以叛国罪处死。51年后，他的儿子汉密尔顿·柴德斯当选为爱尔兰第四任总统。

柴德斯一生喜欢政治与航海，这也是他的代表作《沙岸之谜》的两大主题。《沙岸之谜》开启了军事间谍小说的先河，自出版后一直畅销不衰，欧美再版51次，被誉为现代文学史上的一大奇迹。

此书，悬疑重重，可谓间谍小说的泰山北斗之作……好话不多说，你看了就知道了。本来不想说了，可是我要发的时候，系统提示太短了。没办法，我只好再补上几句了。这么说吧，这本书，你不看，遗憾，看了，不后悔。
