This book presents ten apartment blocks and two students dormitories designed by Aalto and built in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and the United States between the 1920s and the 1960s. Among them are Baker house at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, USA; National Pensions Institutes employee housing in Helsinki, Finland; Korkalovaara apartment buildings in Rovaniemi, Finland; and Schonbuhl apartment building in Lucerne, Switzerland.
