Longtime collector and expert Marjorie Merod has photographed her renowned collection of mint vintage dolls and accessories to match the photos in the Alexander Doll Company s original brochures and catalogs that introduced the doll during each year of her production, from 1957-1963. Her color photos are accompanied by the black-and-white pages from these original materials; her text explains in detail the changes and variations that occurred during production. Additional photos present rare examples and variations that have been found over the years. Dr. Merod also features photos of exclusive, mysterious and unique Cissettes, including a chapter devoted to the F.A.O. Schwarz specials. An extensive reference section details accessories, furniture and tags used on the dolls, as well as guidelines for care and restoration of the vintage dolls.
