Alain de Botton was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1969 and now lives in London. He is a writer of essayistic books that have been described as a ‘philosophy of everyday life.’ He’s written on love, travel, architecture and literature. His books have been bestsellers in 30 countries.Alain also started and helps to run a school in London called The School of Life, dedicated to a new vision of education. Alain’s latest book will be published in April 2016 and is titled The Course of Love.Alain started writing at a young age. His first book, Essays in Love [titled On Love in the US], was published when he was twenty-three.

很喜欢Alain de Botton这个叨叨王，这本里也有很多到位的道理，但是这本书，它整体就是平庸，完全没有20年前出道时那本essays in love的轻盈。

这是一本我以后一定会在人生不同阶段重新捡起来读很多遍的书，也是我但愿和前男友一起读过的书，还是我会推荐给闺蜜和哥们的书，更是我一定会在结婚前要求我的未来男朋友读完并且和我讨论的书。

虎头蛇尾，德波顿独有的哲人式絮叨。文字舒服的时候感觉满口绵密，做作的时候会让人一秒出戏。
