澄清兩點以正視聽： 1. 這本書的讀者可以是本科生，隻要選擇相對容易的章節就行。但是閱讀並理解全書應該是博士生的要求。 2. 作者是nonparametric的專傢，盡管他對統計學的深刻理解遠不止這一個方麵。

大牛寫的小冊子，可能比較適閤學統計人當入門教材，看著像是給undergraduate讀的，雖然作者說是給master和phd讀的，中規中矩吧，應該不像會他寫的另外一本流行。其實都搞不清他寫這本書乾嘛，他也不focus在這裏啊。

The best book on non-parametric statistics I have read so far, bar none. Concisely covered so many modern topics in less than 300 pages. An intellectual delight.
