A sequel of the chosen. Now Danny and Reuven are adults and engage with the secular world. Both two remain faithful to their Jewish roots and tradition. The narratival flow is not quite engaging as the Chosen. So many details are spread out in prose. Sometimes the cause and effect of an event are explained prosaically. Overall it's worth reading.
