格雷厄姆·格林（Graham Greene，1904—1991）

21次诺贝尔文学奖提名的传奇大师。67年写作生涯，创作超25部小说，被誉为20世纪大师级作家。1950年，初次获得诺贝尔奖提名。1976年，获美国推理作家协会大师奖。1981年，获耶路撒冷文学奖。1986年，由英女王伊丽莎白二世授予功绩勋章。

本书收录了格雷厄姆·格林广为人知的小说：《第三人》和《堕落的偶像》。两部作品的改编电影均由奥斯卡导演卡罗尔·里德执导、格雷厄姆·格林担任编剧，获得包括奥斯卡金像奖、戛纳电影节金棕榈奖、英国电影学院奖在内的多项大奖，而格林本人更是拿下了奥斯卡改编剧本奖提名和威尼斯电影节改编编剧奖。

至今，每年格林生日期间，在格林出生地——英国赫特福德郡，都会举办为期4天的格雷厄姆·格林艺术节，世界各地的格林读者齐聚这里参加纪念格林的活动。

译者简介：

吴刚

上海翻译家协会副会长，上海外国语大学高翻学院副院长，教授。从事文学翻译29年，有400多万字文学翻译作品。翻译代表作有《霍比特人》《战时灯火》《美与孽》《莎乐美》《野性的呼唤》等。2016年获得上海翻译家协会颁发的“翻译新人奖”，该奖项每5年评选一次。
