約翰·麥凱恩（John Sidney McCain Ⅲ）美國著名的政治傢、共和黨人，現為亞利桑那州國會參議員。

麥凱恩一九三六年齣生於美國控製的巴拿馬運河區域，父親小約翰·西德尼·麥凱恩和祖父老約翰·西德尼·麥凱恩皆曾任美國海軍上將二麥凱恩在弗吉尼亞州亞曆山德裏亞的聖公會中學和安那波利斯海軍學院接受教育。其後他擔任海軍飛行員，在越南執行戰鬥任務，被浮後被拘禁長達五年半之久，由此成為全國知名人物。

獲釋迴國後，麥凱恩在一九八二年當選亞利桑那州第一選區的眾議員，並在一九八六年當選參議員目前是他作為參議員的第四個任期。

麥凱恩曾在二○○○年美國總統選舉中角逐共和黨的提名，但被喬治·沃剋·布什擊敗；二○○八年他成為美國總統大選的共和黨候選人，最終在與民主黨候選人奧巴馬參議員的對決中落敗。
