很遗憾，一直与艺术无缘。 即便如此，当我在梵蒂冈西斯廷礼拜堂仰望气势恢宏的湿壁画时，还是会心醉神迷；当我在佛罗伦萨市政厅前凝视空前绝后的大卫雕像时，依然会心荡神驰。看不懂门道的外行身份和宗教背景知识的缺乏并不曾减损丝毫美的享受，这，就是天才米开朗基罗遗赠给...

Absolutely stunning Book!!! Mr.King is a true scholar and a great story teller who makes this Renaissance story not boring or hard to read at all, I enjoyed it very much. There are lots of events and people involved in Michelangelo's greatest project. King knows these details and information so well just like he was there, with Michelangelo all the time! The story gets more interesting when Raphael appeared, at that time he was working on pope's private room. (I love Michelangelo's iconic nude human body!!!)
